[Class 122 (i)] [Also in Group XXVIII] In a fuel-injection pump rotation of the barrel is prevented by a spring-pressed friction grip. As shown, the exterior of the barrel 8 is engaged by a split or segmental bevelled ring 15, which is pressed into a conical recess in the casing by the plunger return spring 14. The barrel is also held by the valve boxes 10, compressed by the nipple 11.
