Abstract

482,841. Fuel-injection pumps. BOSCH AKT.-GES., R. Oct. 22, 1936, No. 28686. Convention date, Nov. 26, 1935. [Class 102 (i)] In multi-cylinder fuel-injection pumps, each cylinder 8 is carried by a housing 5 which has an extension 5b in which is fitted a sleeve 10 held in place by a spring ring 12 and forming an abutment for the spring-loaded plunger 7. A sleeve 9 surrounds the cylinder 8 and is connected to the plunger 7 for rotating it and geared to a quadrant on the shaft 22. The housing 5 is bolted to a casing .1 fitted with the cam-shaft 2, plunger 4 and regulating rack 19 which gears with a quadrant 20 on a shaft 21. The shafts 21, 22 are connected by a coupling 24, thus the housing 5 is fitted to the casing and the shafts 21, 22 connected without any initial adjustment to the unit being required.
