[Also in Division F1 In a fuel-injection pump for an I. C. engine a cam ring 6 for pumping plungers 4 in an enginedriven rotary-distributer 3 is shifted by a piston 9 so as to adjust the timing. A gear pump 14 coupled to the distributer feeds a space between the plungers by way of a duct 35 and an annular groove 36 from which pressure is transmitted to the piston through a duct containing a non-return valve 45. Until the engine speed reaches a predetermined value the valve 45 remains closed. Displacement of the piston is limited by a screw 13 and an adjustable spring-loaded washer 11.
