Abstract

547,741. Liquid and gaseous fuel burners. WALLSEND SLIPWAY & ENGINEERING CO., Ltd., and DOBBS, A. G. March 7, 1941, No. 3112. [Class 75 (i)] Liquid or gaseous fuel supplied through a port 6 in the burner body 1 to a chamber 7 formed in a valve body 2 at the rear of the burner body flows through a triangular port 14 regulated by a screw-valve 3 to a tube 13 which is secured to a plug 12 in the burner body. Air is supplied through a port 18 in the burner body to a sleeve 15 surrounding the tube 13 and to a nozzle cap 22 adjustably threaded on the burner body. The sleeve 15 is formed with inclined air passages 19 and additional air may be supplied through a port 26 in the burner body on the removal of a plug 27. The cap 22 is formed with helical air deflectors 20. Specification 154,238, [Class 75 (i)], is referred to.
