Abstract

402,520. Gas burners. GAS LIGHT & COKE CO., DIETERICHS, W., and LLOYD, P., 84, Horseferry Road, London. July 5, 1932, No. 19031. [Class 75 (i).] A burner more particularly for use with high or low-pressure coal gas has a nozzle 9 disposed behind a restricted throat 2, which is connected to a gas and air supply pipe 4. The injector chamber is surrounded by an angularly displaceable ring 16 which has a plurality of air holes or slots which may be of increasing length when using high pressure. The rear of the casing is closed by a cap 7 which carries the screwed, adjustable nozzle 9. The casing has air holes 11, 12, and the cap is closed by a plug 13. The inlet 15 or the hole containing the plug may be used for the gas supply. The slotted ring 16 can be removed when the cap is removed. The ring is secured in the adjusted position by a screw.
