Abstract

547,278. Internal clamps. PRESSED STEEL CO., Ltd., and ALDRED, F. C. June 5, 1941, No. 7106. [Class 44] Plates are located and held in position during riveting, spot welding &c., by devices comprising members 51, 52 connected by screws 53 and springs 55. The members connect ends 16 and necks 17 forming work - engaging shoulders 31, 32. The arms are collapsed for insertion in a hole in the work and then separated for clamping, by the springs 55. The shoulders may be chamfered to prevent jamming.
