Abstract

546,154. Cleaning devices for nozzles. JACOBSON, B. April 2, 1941, No. 4394. [Class 69 (iii)] [Also in Group XI] A pricker for cleaning the holes in the nipples of burners, syringes, spray guns &c. comprises a hand grip 3 carrying a metal rod 2 having a sleeve 11 threaded in its screwed end 8 to secure a pricker-needle 7 passed through a hole formed between flattened surfaces 9 on the end 8. The grip 3 is formed with a cavity 6 to receive spare needles, the cavity being normally closed by a cap 5. The end of the rod 2 may be enlarged to form an abutment against which the needle is secured by the sleeve. In another construction the end of the rod is slit to form a chuck in which the needle is secured axially by the sleeve.
