787,136. Hypodermic syringes. BRINKMAN, Ltd., E. July 6, 1956 [July 8, 1955], No. 19883/55. Class 81 (2). A glass syringe 11 has a metal or plastic nozzle member 18 attached to its inner end. The nozzle member has a flared inner end 20 engaging the countersunk face 15 of the hole 14 in the end 13 of the barrel. The fitting is secured by a nut 22 on a threaded part of the nozzle member. In a modified form the tapered part of the nozzle member is internally threaded, to act as the securing nut, by engaging the projecting threaded part of the inner end of the member.
