642,077. Hypodermic syringes. BRITTON, A. B. Sept. 6, 1948, No. 23387. [Class 81(ii)] A syringe having a glass piston and a graduated glass barrel has the barrel in the form of a straight tube, the lower end of which is precision ground to fit the inner face of a metal needle nozzle, against which it is held by a suitably screwed metal frame, which engages the nozzle and the upper end of the barrel. In the form described a tubular frame has an inturned lip 3b at its upper end and a screwed cap 5 at its lower end so as to hold the metal nozzle 6 against the glass barrel 1. Side windows 4 are provided in the tubular frame.
