Abstract

544,217. Periscopes. PARISI, M. Jan. 9 1940, No. 489. Convention date, Jan. 9, 1939. [Class 97 (i)] Front and rear objects are simultaneously viewed by mirrors 7, 5, and 6, 4, 5 respectively, the mirron 6, 7 being rotatable and facing oppositely through windows 2, 3 carrying cross wires, and the mirrors 4, 5 being fixed. Both images, and an image of a liquid level 10, are seen in the mirror 5 through a window 19 by means of an eye piece 20 or otherwise. The mirrors 6, 7 may carry arms 13, 14 kept in engagement with rods 11, 12 by springs 15, 16, and are adjustable by milled nuts 8. 9 threaded on the rods. A tripod 17 supports the instrument for use, and is housed therein during transport.
