Abstract
891,255. Indicators on aircraft. AVIATION, MINISTER OF, and BUSH & RANK CINTEL Ltd July 18, 1960 [July 17, 1959], No. 24730/59. Class 4. [Also in Group XL(c)] Means-for displaying navigational information to an aircraft pilot comprises a cathode ray tube 4 so placed that a display on its screen is visible to the pilot by reflection in a partial reflector 3 disposed in the pilot's field of vision, and one or more lenses 5 disposed between the. tube and reflector so that the image of the screen presented to the pilot is at infinity. The reflector 3 may be dichroic, reflecting only light of the colour emitted by the tube, and transmitting all other light, and is placed in front of the windscreen 1, or may be constituted by the windscreen itself. An additional reflector 7 may be used so that the tube axis may be horizontal. Specification 873,321 is referred to.
