Abstract

541,153. Regulating. GAS POWER CONVERSIONS, Ltd., SIMMS MOTOR UNITS Ltd., and NASH, E. J. May 15, 1940, No. 8710. [Class 7 (vi) In a gas engine which is fired by the ignition of a small amount of injected oil fuel, an adjustable stop is arranged on the fuel pump, or on the controls between the pump and the driver's pedal or lever, so that it may be set to supply the small amount of oil needed for running on gas, or to supply a larger amount for running the engine on oil alone, owing to failure of the gas supply. A stop b is secured in either of two positions by a bolt e which passes through a sleeve a and through one or other of holes c, d in the stop. The sleeve may have a screw adjustment for obtaining a fine regulation of the stop in either of its extreme positions.
