Abstract
539,164. Coated fabrics ; flock - printing. HEBERLEIN & CO., AKT.-GES. March 12, 1940, No. 4620. Convention date, April 15, 1939. [Class 140] [Also in Group XVI] In flock-printing fabrics a flock material is used which has been rendered resistant to strong smelling agents, which effect a parchmentizing or shrinking action on cellulosic material, by treatment with formaldehyde or by superficial esterification or etherification. In an example, bleached cotton or regenerated cellulose fibres, which may be dyed with vat or naphthol dyestuffs, are impregnated with an aqueous solution of formaldehyde and aluminium thiocyanate and heated to 120‹ C. The treated flock may be used in carrying out the process described in Specification 539,165.
