Abstract

538,977. Hand trucks. SLINGSBY, H .C. March 26, 1940, No. 5457. [Class 108 (i)] A lifting truck of the general kind described in Specification 184,067, [Class 108 (i)], is adapted to be inserted beneath a load-carrying platform and used to lift it clear of the ground without sliding engagement of any part on the handle end of the truck frame. Means for preventing displacement of the platform during transit consist of a cross-tube 4 with pins 17 engaging recesses of the platform, stops 19 being provided to position the platform for engagement.
