Abstract

552,962. Hand trucks. DAVIES, P. H., and WRIGHT, S. April 28, 1942, No. 5676. [Class 108 (i)] A hand truck comprises a main frame with a front base platform 3 to which is pivoted a supplementary platform 1 adapted to lie on the ground together with the base platform 3 as shown in Fig. 1, and to be tilted about its free end, as shown in Fig. 3, for lifting a load and adjusting its position ; spring hooks 4 engage a cross-stay 6 of the supplementary platform 1 to retain it in position for wheeling the loaded truck. The free end of the platform 1 may be provided with ground wheels.
