Abstract

1519956 Convertible trucks P NEWMAN 15 Oct 1975 [15 Oct 1974] 44632/74 Heading B7B A sack truck comprises a ladder frame 11, Fig. 3, with a support plate 15, hinged at one end so that the frame may be tilted over to form a ladder, the wheels being raised from the ground. In a preferred embodiment, the ladder frame 11 has a further secondary frame 17 and a wooden working surface 18 hinged thereto, the surface 18 being supported at its remote end by pivoted legs 20. Struts 19, 21 limit the angular movement of secondary frame 17 and legs 20. A second pair of wheels 22 are provided on the frame 11 adjacent handles 13 so that the truck may be used as a trolley, Fig. 4 (not shown) with the frame 17 pivoted upwardly to form a handle. The frame 12, 17 and legs 20 can be made from aluminium tubing. An angled flange 23 on the support plate 15 limits its angular movement by engaging the frame 12.
