Abstract
536,359. Centrifugal pumps. LA BOUR, H. E. March 16, 1940, No. 4935. Addition to 511,304. [Class 110 (i)] In a centrifugal pump of the kind claimed in the parent Specification, a lateral wall 29 of the discharge volute just before the cut-off of the volute forms with the wall 27 between the separator 9 and the pump intake 6 a channel which has a priming opening 30 connecting it to the impeller chamber. The wall 29 merges into and is integral with the bottom and rear walls of the separator 9. One wall 18 of the impeller chamber is carried by a bracket 39, secured by bolts 43 to an annulus 36 integral with the bottom wall 33 of the separator. Specification 478,862 is referred to.
