Abstract
425,085. C e n t r i f u g a l pumps. LONGENECKER, C. I., 6830, Wells Street, Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, U.S.A. July 9, 1934, No. 20092. [Class 110 (i)] The priming of a centrifugal pump by fluid from a chamber on the discharge side is facilitated by a knife-edged vane 41 which can be adjusted so as to be in close proximity to a small-size impeller 31. The vane is secured to an inner wall 35 separating the volute from the discharge and is either tangential to the periphery of the impeller or at an angle thereto. Specification 394,871 is referred to.
