533,072. Superheterodyne circuits for wireless reception. RADIO GRAMOPHONE DEVELOPMENT. CO., Ltd., and REDFERN, G. J. Oct. 12, 1939, No. 27712. [Class 40 (v)] [Also in Group XXXVI] In a superheterodyne receiver the tracking obtained by the usual trimming and tracking condensers is improved by shaping the plates of the oscillator condenser so that near the ends of the tuning range the capacity is increased more rapidly. The dotted curve shows the modification of the oscillator plate when log. law shaped plates are used for the signal tuned circuits and correct tracking at 10, 90 and 180 degrees is obtained by known methods, other forms of plates may be used and the arrangement is stated to operate on all wavebands.
