[Class 38 (ii).] The local oscillator V3 of a superheterodyne wireless receiver is tuned by a variable condenser C7 with movable plates shaped according to a mathematical formula, which is designed to maintain an exact frequency separation between the received carrier and the local generator, when the condenser C7 is ganged to the tuning condenser C5.
