Abstract

532,331. Machine guns; smallarms. CESKOSLOVENSKA ZBR0J0VKA AKCIOVA SPOLECNOST BRNO. July 21, 1939, No. 21300. Convention date, July 30, 1938. [Classes 92 (ii) and 119] Relates to a transverse retaining pin 5 mounted on the breech bolt for engagement with a slot 10 in the firing pin 2 thus permitting firing movement but preventing withdrawal of the firing pin from the breech bolt. According to the invention, the retaining pin is provided with a recess 9 which, by axial movement of the pin, can be brought into register with part 2 of the firing pin to permit its withdrawal. In the form shown, the pin 5 is held in retaining position by a projection 7 adapted to engage a recess in the side of the breech bolt. By axial and turning movement of the pin 5 the firing pin is released and the recess 9 brought into register with the firing pin to permit of its withdrawal.
