Abstract

1383787 A gun barrel fastening and interchange device CARL WALTHER 17 Nov 1972 [19 Nov 1971] 53321/72 Heading F3C A hand firearm, such as a repeater rifle, is provided with a barrel fastening and interchange device comprising a bush 3, which has an internal screw-thread for engagement with a screwthread 2 formed on a barrel 1 and has an internal screw-thread 4 for engagement with an external screw-thread 5 formed on a breech 6, and a bush 10, which is mounted on the barrel 1 and has an external screw-thread for engagement with an internal screw-thread formed on a breech casing 8. The barrel 1 and bush 3 assembly is axially located relative to the breech 6 and is prevented from rotating relative to the breech casing 8, by a pin 9 which is fastened in the casing 8 and projects into a groove 7 in the bush 3.
