[Class 119] The stock 22 of a rifle is provided with a wedge-shaped resilient pad 24 mounted on a pivot 25, so that it can be turned through 180‹. In one position, it acts as a shoulder pad for ordinary firing. In the other position, shown in the Figure, it acts as a rest supporting the smallarm at an angle of 45‹ for discharging bombs by means of a muzzle attachment as described in Specifications 347,883 and 441,144.
