[Class 80 (ii)] A power-transmitting coupling for connecting rotatable shafts 10, 11 comprises a housing 12, 13 enclosing bushings 15, 16 of flexible material held in endwise compression between spacing members 22, 23 and flanges 18, 21 on the housing, a spring locking washer 24 being arranged between the members 22, 23 to prevent relative rotation. As shown, the parts 12, 13 of the housing are screwed together at 14. An aligning sleeve 17 may engage loosely the ends of the shafts 10, 11, In a modification, a single flexible bushing such as 16 is compressed between a spacing member and a housing member screwed on a sleeve secured by a set screw to the shaft 10, the locking washer 24 being interposed between the bushing 16 and the end of the sleeve.
