Abstract
531,142. Bedstead joints. REDMOND, J. J. July 13, 1939, No. 20393. Convention date, May 31. [Class 52 (ii)] A bracket for connecting the side rails to the wooden bedpost is formed of mild steel or iron being notched and bent so that both the upright portion C and the horizontal projecting portions A are of right-angle section the side webs overlapping and being welded or riveted together at G. The back plate C is provided with apertures D for securement to the bedpost and the top plate of the projecting portion A is provided with a threaded aperture F for a stud B, B<SP>1</SP>, B<SP>2</SP> which secures the side rail E in position. In a modification the upright and horizontal portions C, A are formed separately of right-angle section and are subsequently welded or riveted together at G to form the bracket.
