Abstract

181,927. Harrison, G. F. May 17, 1921. Stud and slot fastenings.-A supporting bracket or joint for use in bedsteads, book-shelves, &c. and which may also be used as a fastening of general application, comprises an attachment plate 1 provided with a lug 7 carrying lateral projections 8, and two vertical projecting faces 3, together with a bracket member 4 having a part 12 for the reception of an angle member, and a keyhole slot 14 to drop over the projections 8, the part 13 being of channel section to engage with the faces 3. The projections 8 are preferably formed by driving one or more circular pins through the lug 7 and forming flats 8<a> on the ends thereof. The bracket member may be formed with an undercut facing 16 and a facing 17 to engage the end of the angle member, and projections 18 may be provided on the attachment plate or on the bracket, to give a wedging effect.
