Abstract
159,454. Gamble, S. B. Sept. 14, 1920. Joints and conenctions.-A dovetail joint for ccnnecting together parts of bedsteads has the socket portions thereof mounted so that it can be adjusted transversely. The socket comprises a plate b with inwardly bent sides to receive the edges of the flat dovetail m, and is secured to the bed-post a by a plate c. The attaching-screw j passes through a slot in the transversely-adjustable socket plate b. Resilient projections g, n are provided on the abutting parts. The dovetail is shown made of two bent plates, but in a modification it consists of a single plate the upper and lower ends of which are bent over for attachment to the upper and lower surfaces of a side bar.
