Abstract

282,288. Bolin, S. G. June 1, 1927. Frames, joints, and connections.-A brace for clamping the leg 6 and the frame members 2, 3 of a table consists of a plate 10, with side flanges 15, 16, formed at each end with projections 19 bent at right angles to the plate and adapted to engage cylindrical holes 5 formed in the frame members 2, 3. The brace is tightened by a nut 14 engaging the screwthreaded end of a wood screw 13 passing through a boss 11 in the plate. The projections 19 are tapered and curved traversely terminating in raised portions 24 extending into the plate 10. The end of the flanges 15, 16 are bevelled as shown at 17, 18 to abut against the numbers 2, 3.
