Abstract

15,108. Garnett, N. June 28. Joints and connexions.-A joint for securing side rails to wooden pillars of bedsteads and cots comprises a bracket a screwed to the pillar and having a projection d engaging a slot f in the end of a side rail e. A flange f<1> projects over the end of the side rail and a recess g with a screwed hole k receives a block h secured to the side rail by a bolt j which screws into the hole k. In a modification the block h is fixed on the rail e and a separate securing-bolt is employed. In either modification means may be provided as shown in Fig. 7 for the attachment of a rail p, such means consisting of either an externally or internally screwed projection n on the bracket ; or a rail such as p may be screwed into a hole in the bracket.
