Abstract
527,868. Pressure gauges. BARNET INSTRUMENTS, Ltd., and WILLIAMS, W H. C. April 21, 1939, No. 12102. [Class 106 (ii)] Comprises a particular construction of " move ment " whereby the pointer can be adjusted relatively to the pressure-responsive element from outside the casing. The pointer 11 is connected by rack and pinion 13, 14 and link 16 with the free end of the Bourden tube 17. The quadrant 14 is pivoted to a movable mounting 18 part of which extends through the back of the casing 19. The mounting comprises plates 20, 21 distanced by studs 22 and dispersed on the forward side of a fixed support 23. The plate 20 is also secured to a boss 24 at the other side of the support 23 by studs 25 the distance between which is slightly greater than the width of the support 23. The boss 24 has a forwardly projecting extension 26 engaging frictionally a bore 27 in the support 23. The boss is of square section where it projects through the casing and may be given a limited angular movement relatively thereto and thus adjust the reading.
