525,480. Road-surface heaters. TYERS, J. O. Feb. 22, 1939, No. 5846. [Class 107] An oil-fired road-heating furnace comprises a base framing A carrying a fuel tank S and supported on wheels, arms J attached to the framing and extending forwardly, and one or more oil vapour burners x mounted on a member o disposed between and pivoted in the ends of the arms so as to be angularly adjustable. In the vehicular apparatus shown, a series of oil burners x is mounted on plates G at the front of casings H enclosing the burners. The plates are pivotally mounted for adjustment on the arms J which for raising and lowering the burners can be rocked about a shaft F by links F<SP>1</SP>, K connected to handles L carried at each side of the push-frame E. The burners are fed with oil under pressure from the tank S through flexible pipes T. A hood U is supported from the front axle C by bars V and the front of the hood is furnished with rollers.
