342,362. Furnace charging-machines. BIRMING. HAM ELECTRIC FURNACES, Ltd. and LOBLEY, A. G., 55, George Street, Parade, Birming- ham. Feb. 25, 1930, No. 12835. [Class 51 (ii).] In a furnace charging-machine c of the kind comprising arms e supported at one end of a wheeled carriage c<1> which is accommodated in a chamber b below the furnace a<1> when the machine is in the run-in position, the carriage is fitted with a pair of wheels at the rear end and a single wheel at the front end and runs on a triple set of rails of which only the middle one d<2> extends into the chamber b. In a modified construction, the track for the rear wheels of the carriage c<1> is mounted on a trolley adapted to run on rails arranged parallel to the front of the furnace.
