Abstract
379,070. Suspended vehicles. INDUSTRIAL WASTE ELIMINATORS, Ltd., 20, High Holborn, London, and NICHOLSON, A. C., Trent Iron Works, Newark-on-Trent. July 31, 1931; No. 21934. [Class 103 (iv).] A trolley for a twin rail overhead runway comprises a pair of wheels 10 mounted on an axle 11 shrunk or otherwise fixed in a frame bar 12, which, through two hanger bars 14, is connected to a hook bar 22. The threaded ends 13, 18 of the hanger bars are preferably of smaller diameter than the bars themselves, the holes in the frame bar being enlarged on the under side to fit tightly on the hanger bars. A pointed guide bar 20 may be spaced from the hook bar by distance collars, on which are mounted rollers 25. The width of the frame bar may be greater than the distance between the flanges of the wheels, grooves being cut on the bar to accommodate said flanges. The weight of the device may be adjusted by fixing metal strips between the nuts 17, 27. Spring or other buffers 28 may be provided.
