Abstract

211,533. Pease, E.L. Oct. 19, 1922. Air-heating stoves.-Sets of spaced-apart metal plates are arranged on either side of or around a vertical flue so that their free inner edges are heated and air is caused to flow inward and upward between the plates and into the flue. Fig. 1 shows downwardly bent plates in two sets 1, 2 on either side of an electric heater 5. Fig. 4 shows vertically arranged plates. An electric lamp 14 may be fitted below. In a modification, a lamp. or burner supplies the central heating means. The plates instead of being bent at a fixed angle, as shown in Fig. 1, may have hinged parts to vary the angle.
