Abstract
359,139. Geysers and instantaneous water-heaters. KEENAN, T. F., 177, St. George's Road, Peckham, London. Sept. 10, 1930, No. 27016. [Class 64 (i).] In a water heater consisting of superimposed water pans round which hot gases rise, the pans are built up of sections comprising a bottom pan 10, an intermediate centrally apertured trough 11, and an upper annular trough 13. The latter may have no central aperture and be spaced from the casing as in Fig. 1, or it may be in close proximity to the casing and provided with a central aperture as in Fig. 3. The bottom pan 10 may be supported within pan 11 by the radial water connections 12. The lowest pan 11 rests on a bracket 5 and the other pans are each provided with legs resting on the pan below. Water passes from pan to pan through projecting pipes 19. The casing 2 is water-jacketed for preheating purposes.
