Gas cooking-stoves; boilers, arrangement of; hot closets.-A combined gas cooking-stove and water heater comprises an oven 9, between which and the outer stove casing 1 are arranged baffling walls 10, a hot-closet 17 above the oven and a V-shaped boiler 13 which is disposed between the burner 11 and the oven bottom 14 and provided with flow and return pipes 21, 22, communicating with a hot-water cistern 20 secured to the top of the stove. The products of combustion are deflected by the boiler 13 and, entering the oven through apertures 15, escape at the top and, after circulating around the walls 10 which are provided with openings 16, they pass into the hot-closet 17 and thence through openings 25 to the space beneath the cistern 20. A table 4, heated by a burner 5, is arranged at one side of the stove and supports a hood 7 fitted with a shelf 8 for warming plates &c. The cistern 20 is connected to a supply-tank 28 by a pipe 27 which is formed with a U-shaped bend 30 extending below the connection with the cistern 20 so as to prevent hot water flowing into the tank 28.
