Abstract

Boilers.-Under the bottom plate 2 of a flameheated water-heater a disc 5 of corrodible material such as copper is placed so as to be above the flame, with the object of preventing the corrosion of the boiler itself. The disc mav be spaced from but attached to the bottom plate, or may be mounted as a trivet above the gas burner as shown. Specifications 152,721 and 180,710 are referred to.
