Abstract

522,808. Valve relay circuits. GENERAL ELECTRIC CO., Ltd., and SCOWCROFT, J. Dec. 17, 1938, No. 36778. [Class 40 (v)] A circuit arrangement for producing time delay switching comprises a thermionic triode 1 having a relay B for effecting the switching in its anode circuit, a voltage-dropping resistance 6 in its cathode circuit, and a condenserresistance combination 4, 5 in its grid circuit in association with a switch A1 for initiating operation. On operation of the latter to complete the cathode circuit of the valve, the latter is rendered conductive but only after a time delay sufficient to enable the previously charged condenser to discharge to a value insufficient to maintain a blocking voltage on the grid of the valve.
