Abstract

522,986. Electromagnetic relays. PRESSEL, O., and BALDWIN ELECTRO-MEDICAL, Ltd. Dec. 22, 1938,. No. 37283. [Class 38 (v)] A relay B, adapted to be operated by the momentary completion of a circuit at A, is held closed for say half a second, by the discharge of a previously charged condenser F. The condenser F . has been charged by the battery C through a high resistance D and now discharges through relay contacts G. a lower resistance E and the relay coil B. The current from the battery C through resistances D and E and contacts G is insufficient to hold the relay closed. The resistances D, E may be replaced by condensers and the switch A by a thermionic valve.
