Abstract

521,025. Delivering material from hoppers. SIMON, Ltd., H., and BRIAN, J. C. Nov. 10, 1938, No. 32658. [Class 78 (i)] Multi-discharge arrangements for hoppers comprise a central spout with lateral discharge orifices g and a series of 'outer spouts leading from the upper part of the main hopper. Initial discharge is through the outer spouts, as shown in the Figure, and during this process the pressure of the escaping material seals the orifices g. When the level of material in the hopper falls below the entrances to the side spouts, the remaining material is delivered through the orifices g.
