Abstract
520,286. Pressure gauges. PETROFF, A., and IMPROVED SUBMERGED LOG CO., Ltd. Oct. 15, 1938, No. 29932. [Class 106 (ii)] [Also in Group XXIX] Means for indicating the speed of ship; &c. relative to fluids comprises a Pitot. tube and a static pressure tube connected respectively to upper and lower Bourdon tubes 28 carried by a common post 29; the upper tube 28 acts through a link 33, lever 34, long link 35 and short link 47 carried by a post 46 adjusted by a graduated screw &c. 32, the link 35 acting through a pivot 54 and arcuate slot 56 to rock a toothed sector 41 which drives a spring-pressed indicating pointer through a pinion. The free end of the lower tube 28 is connected through a link with a pivoted lever carrying the pivot 53 of the lever 34 whereby the readings of the pointer are corrected to allow for static pressure.
