Abstract
313,725. Dunglinson, B., and Electroflo Meters Co., Ltd. May 22, 1928. Draught gauges; liquid - level pressure gauges, indicating- means for.-An index or pointer registering with a vertical scale is suspended by a vertical cord arranged to be moved on changes of pressure. A bell 1 is suspended from a beam 2, a pipe 5 conveying pressure fluid to the interior of the bell through the liquid seal. A pendulum rod 7 attached to the pivot pin of the beam 2 is provided with an adjustable weight 8, the weight of the bell itself being balanced by a weight 9 on the beam. The pivot pin of the beam carries a toothed wheel 10 which meshes with a pinion 11 on the spindle 12 of a pulley 13 over which passes a cord 14 to a vertically sliding index 16 moving over a scale 17 which is translucent and illuminated from the back. The scale range is determined by the adjustment of the weight 8. Several instruments may be mounted side by side and a single elongated tank employed for all bells.
