385,949. Pressure gauges. ECKARDT AKT.-GES. J. C., 72, Pragstrasse, Cannstatt, Stuttgart, Germany. April 1, 1931, No. 9852. Convention date, May 5, 1930. Void [Published under Sect. 91 of the Acts]. [Class 106 (ii).] In a differential gauge for flow meters the high and low pressure pipes are brought to a circular tube containing liquid 1 mounted on a knife-edge support 2 and divided into two compartments by a partition 9. A cam 5 is fixed to the tube, one end being at the centre, and from this end is suspended a weight 7 by means of a cord 6. When pressures on each side of the partition are equal the index 3 is at zero and the position of the parts as shown. When a difference of pressure occurs the liquid rises higher in the right-hand half and the tube rocks clockwise. The proportions of the cam and weight are such that the leverage of the weight is altered to enable the reading to follow a linear law and moreover to ensure accuracy in the smaller readings.
