Abstract
514,144. Pressure gauges. SUDHEIM, M. Dec. 12, 1938. No. 36119. [Class 106 (ii)] Relates to the kind in which the fluid pressure to be measured acts on one side of an elastic diaphragm, the other side of which is in contact with a liquid which is displaced in a gauge tube G and consists in providing several diaphragms A', A<SP>2</SP>, each acted upon by the pressure fluid and all in contact on the other side with the same body of liquid F. The diaphragms A<SP>1</SP>, A<SP>2</SP> are mounted on a plate B through which lead branches from a fluid supply pipe C. A hood E covers the upper sides of the diaphragms and the space thereunder is filled with liquid. A flexibIe pipe H connects the outlet I with a helical glass tube G wound round a hollow cylinder K which is rotatably supported on the bearing D. The entering pressure fluid is throttled at L. By turning the cylinder all points of the scale can be read off from one position.
