Abstract

519,254. Powder blowers. HEATH, P. C. Oct. 8, 1938, No. 29227. [Class 18] In a powder sprayer compressed air is fed through a pipe 9 to a main and an auxiliary gas feed 12, 14 respectively, feed 12 being directed at an angle on to the surface of the powder in a container 1, and feed 14 being directed across the outlet 5 from the container to eject lumps from the stream. Pipe 4 has a part of restricted area within fitting 10 to increase the pressure of the gas. A trigger mechanism 3 controls the valve rod 8<1> of a valve mechanism housed in a container 7. The subsidiary flow may be provided for by a second inlet pipe.
