Abstract
633,980. Spray-producers. ADAN, J. L. P. DE Z. Oct. 30, 1947, No. 29046. Convention date, July 31, 1946. [Class 69 (iii)] Liquid f is finely atomized by passing it through a series of annular gas jets d in succession. Air or gas is supplied under pressure from a pipe g to a control valve b and thence to a series of pressure-reducing valves c and the annular jets d. The pressure at the annular jets may be varied in any desired manner by the pressure-reducing valves. The interior surface of the nozzle mouth may be provided with helical grooves in order to impart a rotary movement to the spray. A screen of wire or textile mesh e may be provided to filter the larger droplets, and heaters may be associated with the nozzle to prevent freezing due to the expansion at the nozzles and evaporation of liquid.
