Abstract
515,101. Electrode materials. MARCONI'S WIRELESS TELEGRAPH CO., Ltd. May 23, 1938, No. 15325. Convention date, May 21, 1937. [Class 39 (i)] To reduce emission from the grids, anodes &c. of thermionic valves they are coated with platinum. A process for effecting this is described comprising dipping the electrode in an alcoholic solution of platinum chloride with oil of lavender and Wisconsin or Burgundy pitch, heating to somewhat above 250‹C. and then to a bright red heat. Specifications 121,878, [Class 39 (i)], and 475,183 are referred to.
