Abstract

513,676. Floor centering. MILLS, Ltd., EXECUTORS OF J., and MACBETH, A. Jan. 13, 1938, No. 1108. [Class 20 (ii)] A telescopic support for floor-shuttering or scaffolding comprises two members in overlapping relationship, and a retaining part pivoted to one member and adapted to be turned to embrace the other member between itself and the member to which it is pivoted. One member 8 is formed flat and overlaps the flange 7 of the other T-shaped member and a shaped retaining member 11 is pivoted to a bracket 9 secured near one end of the flat member, so that it can. be rotated to embrace the stalk of the T-shaped member. Apertures or slots are provided in the members 7, 11 to receive securing pins after the beam has been adjusted for length. Each member of the beam is provided with a flat end lip 7a to engage the abutments 17 whereby the beam is supported. The members may be curved for arched work.
