984,205. Shuttering for casting floors and beams. R. KATZ. Oct. 18, 1963 [Oct. 22, 1962; Nov. 5, 1962(2)], No. 41325/63. Addition to 929,019. Heading E1S. Shuttering for casting beams of the parent Specification is provided with a loose soffit shuttering 70, resting on inturned flanges 36 at the foot of the side shuttering members 34. The side shuttering 34 with extension shuttering 50a, and the U clamps 20 which support them can be removed after the concrete has been cast leaving the soffit shuttering 70 with independent supports 132 to support the concrete while it sets fully. The soffit shuttering has downwardly converging sides to give line contact with the side shuttering. The posts of the clamp are mounted on tubes 26 which slide on and are secured to the cross-bar 22 by set screws 28 or pins in holes. Floor shuttering 108 is supported on bearers 106 resting on members 104 supported by U shaped brackets 90 or 120 engaging by pins, holes in inclined braces 32 or post extensions 62a respectively. The inclined braces supporting the post extensions 62a are telescopic. Beam intersections are cast by means of comer extension shuttering members, Fig. 10.
