Abstract

936,665. Shuttering for casting floors. KWIKFORM Ltd. April 6, 1961 [April 13, 1960], No. 13109/60. Class 20 (2). [Also in Group XXV] In a telescopic beam for supporting floor &c. shuttering the lower edge 22 of the inner member 10 is inclined upwardly towards its outer end 18 and the outer member 15 carries a captive wedge 28 acting between abutment faces at the upper parts of the members 10, 11 to clamp the members together. The members 10, 11 are of angle section and the wedge 28 is carried by a slot 30 on a pin 26 fixed to a bracket 24a welded to the outer member at 24d, 25c. When driven to the right, Fig. 1, the wedge forces the horizontal flanges 12, 13 of the members 10, 11 together. The wedge is of T- section the slot 30 is inclined upwardly towards the outer end 18 of the inner member and the wedge 29 at the upper end of the slot projects beyond the head of the wedge so that it can swing down out of engagement with the inner member, when released.
